Kay Reynolds and Carolyn Usinger formed The Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth in 2007. Designed as a 501(c)3, the Center encourages economic prosperity for communities through entrepreneurial development, research, education, and training. The Center is a research and development organization whose mission is to gather and expand the level and quality of business information needed by entrepreneurs.
The Center focuses on gathering business assistance information and in making these resources available to local economic development organizations which, in turn, provide information and assistance to their local entrepreneurs. These organizations may be cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, small business assistance centers, or private sector providers. The Center makes this information available through its website (www.entrepreneurcenter.org) and through a central webfeed operated by Tools for Business Success, LLC.
